Ukraine is the country with lots of ethnic groups and each of them had some success into the developing of the Ukrainian folk music. Traditional music of the Ukraine plays very important role into the life of these people. This music is carrying and people are practicing traditional songs and rituals when it is celebrating or some other customs that are requiring using of traditional songs. Same with that and folk music, plays very important role into the Ukraine music. It is because the folk music is used as way for expression elements and events fro tradition of life of Ukraine people.
There are lots of influences that was presented into the Ukraine music and also culture and life of this people. So, the most important is the Cossack people, who had the most influences not only on the music of the Ukraine people, but also and on the music. The music of this people is called as kobzars. This music mostly played people who were blind on the instrument which is also known as bandura and belongs to the group of the string instruments. Also, they were singing about various moments from the life of the Ukraine people from that period, but also and about romance, battles, about heroes and after all about stirring events n the history of Ukrainian people.
Some of the folk dancers are people from Russia, so considering that it was all the same country it is not strange that this people play the dance of the country that few years ago belongs to them. So, there are various festivals when it is about Ukraine music.
Interesting thing is also that during the Stalinist period and his authority, there were intending from Soviets for killing all singers and musicians and same with that and composers who was worked and belonged to the Ukraine. So, it was intention for purge of the Ukraine. It was tried on the more ways, so one of the ways was also and confiscated of the traditional instruments from the Ukraine people. Still no matter how much thy have tried to harm to the Ukraine people, music of the Ukraine is still alive and unique with all elements of traditional music and developed styles and genres.
Today there are various genres in use, so beside of the folk music there are also and rock, pop, classic, heavy, metal, hip hop, soul, rap music and other genres of the music.
