Beautiful Eastern European country with more beautiful music is Belarus. Belarus music is actually most folk and music of religious. No matter of the limited that used in the 20th century, this music developed during the time. Considering that most of the Belarus people are from different countries, Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and other, music of Belarus has influenced most of these countries. But, also there are and other countries which have influences on Belarus music and culture: Canadian, Latvian and U.S. Although the folk music, Belarus has and other ways of music: rap, rock, classic, pop and other.
The most important thing is that on Belarus music most influences were form Orthodox church’s music, which dated from 16th century in Belarus. During the time and during the reformations that were in that period, this music has developed and changed with using different styles.
Many of the Belarus folk bands and singers are famous and over the country, but it is interesting that some of the rock bands, mostly Soviet Belarus rock bands, have used folk music and elements in the music. So, that why this country is center of folk rock and folk music in Europe, especially in Eastern Europe.
Belarus country started with Eurovision Song Contest since 2004. Until that date, Belarus is member in the contest of each competition with euro song.
There are different musical instruments that used in Belarusian music. The most traditions instruments that have used in Belarusian music are using in folk songs and music. So, instruments such as: Parnyia dudki, bagpipe or “Duda”, drum or “Baraban”, horn or “roh”, Hammer dulcimer or “Cymbaly”, button accordin or “Harmonika”, pipe or “dudka”, are the most used instruments into the Belarusian folk songs, but also some of them you can hear in the new pop or rock songs. Used and mixed with new sounds and different music, these songs are very interesting and nice for hearing. Also, most of the Belarusian music songs are using and have influences on music in other countries, such as Serbian music. Lots of the Serbian performances, use the same melodies of Belarusian music for their songs. Also, there are lots similar of almost same instruments that also often use in the music in Serbia. So, pipe or “harmonica” are often used instruments and not only in Serbia, but also and in other countries in Belarusian surrounding, but mostly Orthodox oriented countries.
